Bintan Lagoon Resort is a modern Indonesian-style 470-room resort located just 75 minutes from Singapore via direct ferry.

The resort boasts a wide selection of gourmet options and is world-renowned for its two exceptionally designed championship 18-hole golf courses. The Jack Nicklaus Sea View Course and Ian Baker-Finch Woodlands Course both offer spectacular signature holes and fast greens undulating fairways.

The resort offers the ideal getaway with its spectacular white sandy beach, adrenaline-pumping water sports and land activities such as snorkelling and go-karting. Guests can also indulge, relax and rejuvenate in the tranquil haven of our day spa.

We are looking to hire a Financial Controller or Assistant Financial Controller with strong business partnering capabilities to support in strategic planning, business performance analysis and risk management.

This role will be based in Bintan, Indonesia.

Financial Controller (Hospitality Industry)

You will lead a team of accountants and finance professionals in the management of the company’s financial matters. The incumbent will also be expected to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to streamline business processes and partner functional leaders to ensure sound internal controls are maintained. Specifically, your job scope will encompass the following:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function
  • Oversee the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to the management team
  • Oversee and manage the overall cash management of the region, including credit control and cash flow within the region
  • Ensure that all statutory and tax reporting are completed accurately and reported in a timely manner
  • Ensure that that company's internal controls, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Manage and liaise with the external auditor on all audit matters
  • Participate in projects on process re-engineering and system implementation
  • Oversee Purchasing and receiving function, inventory and cost control
  • Plan and coach staff in their career development with the group through monitoring of KPI.


Keahlian dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan


  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance, or professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA, with at least 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in finance leadership role;
  • Possess past working experience in 4 or 5 star hotel industry;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Hotel management and accounting systems;
  • Proactive and hands-on leader who enjoy challenges;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ;
  • Familiarity with the local accounting and tax would be beneficial;
  • Able to speak Bahasa Indonesia/Malay will be an advantage(to liaise with associates)
